Kaua’i Mokihana Festival 2008
If you are going to be on island the week of September 21st-27thyou must check out the Kauai Mokihana Festival! The Mokihana Festival is an annual event that features traditional and contemporary Hawaiian music and dance. If you are interested in Hawaiian culture (and I’m not talking flashy Luau kine) then you will appreciate the Mokihana Festival. Also the crafters are amazing!

Sunday, Sept 21- Hawaiian Instrumental Competition at Poipu Bay Grill and Bar at 6pm
Monday, Sept 22- Kauai Composer’s Contest and Concert at KCC Performing Arts Center at 9am
Tuesday, Sept 23- “Eo, E Lili’u” Children’s Music Competition at KCC Performing Arts Center at 9am
Wednesday, Sept 24- Hawaiian Cultural Workshop- Kupuna Talk Story at Hilton Kauai Beach Resort 7pm
Thursday, Sept 25- Solo/Group Kahiko Ne Hula Competition at Kauai War Memorial Hall at 6pm
Friday, Sept 26- Group Auana Hula Competition at Kauai Memorial Hall at 6pm
Saturday, Sept 27- Solo Auana Hula Competition and Festival Awards Finale at Kauai Memorial Hall at 12pm
