“Full Circle” nominated for Na Hoku Hanahano Award

The Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts last week announced Na Hoku Hanohano Award nominations.
Two Kauai musicians honored were Titus Kinimaka and Jerry Brocklehurst for their co-produced album “Full Circle.” This is Kinimaka’s first release in over 10 years and a first for the two musicians.
“Full Circle” is a nominee for “Contemporary Album of the Year.”
The Academy is a nonprofit organization that formed in 1982 to stimulate interest in the local recording industry and the music of Hawaii, the Web site states.
HARA traces its origins to Hawaiian Radio KCCN, which conceived and organized the first Na Hoku Hanohano Awards in 1978. the Academy highlights its year by producing the Na Hoku Hanohano honoring the achievements of excellence in the recording arts.
